Michael Charette, is a member of the Red Cliff band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians. He is also known by the name Baapi Waagosh, meaning “Laughing Fox” in the Anishinaabe language. He grew up and lives on the shores of Lake Superior, and continues to be inspired by her beauty.
Spending a great deal of time playing traditional Native American Flute Laughing Fox has performed all over the country. Most recently working together with Big Top Chautauqua in their community connection series which bridges cultural barriers by using traditional dance music and art from not only the Anishaabe Culture but indigenous cultures from across the world.
