Dotters Books, Eau Claire, Wisconsin

https://dottersbooks.com/

Margaret Leonard is a Wisconsin native with a BA and MA in English Literature. To say opening a bookstore has been a lifelong dream would be an understatement. Before Dotters, Margaret worked as a marketing assistant, graduate instructor, server, and bartender, and is now a mom to the coolest little girl, with one more baby on the way. Books are her passion, but aspirations to be on The Great British Baking Show always linger at the back of her mind.

Musician, entrepreneur, and mom Jill Heinke Moen recently relocated to Wisconsin after living half her life in California. She holds Bachelors, Masters, and Postgraduate degrees in music and runs her own performing art-based non profit. Drawn back to her midwestern roots, she loves her new community and continues to further immerse herself in all the reasons she chose to call Eau Claire home. Honestly, it’s all about the night floats.

Elizabeth de Cleyre acted as cofounder of Dotters Books from February 2017 April 2018. As a writer, editor and publishing consultant, Elizabeth helped spearhead the initial efforts of Dotters Books: organizing and facilitating monthly book clubs and virtual author visits, coordinating pop up shops with Avalon Floral and Northbound Supply, starting a scholarship award for the Chippewa Valley Writers Guild Cirenaica retreats, setting up distribution channels and a commercial line of credit, and fostering ongoing community connections. As she shifts her focus to grow her creative advising firm for authors, she remains an avid supporter and advocate of Dotters Books.
